Ezinne Angelina Mbamalu of Ojoto is Laid to Rest

The mother of the former Principal and Manager of St. Charles College, Onitsha, Rev. Fr. Vitus Mbamalu, Ezinne Angelina Obiageliaku Ukamaka Mbamalu, Nee Anyaebosim (Enemma, Mama Fada, Iyom Jesus) has been laid to rest at her country home in Enugo village Ojoto, Idemili South LGA. 



Her immediate family of Late Chief Ide Vincent Mbamalu, the Mbamalu Royal Dynasty and the family of Anyaebosim were sad that Enemma is no more, though she lived just three scores and ten years in the service of her God and humanity, which they described as a life well lived.


Her Requiem Mass held at St. Paul's Parish Ojoto, which attracted people from all walks of life was presided over by the Archbishop of Onitsha Archdiocese, His Grace, Most Rev Valerian Maduka Okeke, with a countless number of Catholic Priests in attendance.


In his condolence message, Archbishop Okeke expressed his sympathy with the entire family over the demise of their beloved mother, Ezinne Angelina Mbamalu on behalf of the Archdiocesan Presbyterium, the religious and the lay faithful in the Archdiocese.


The Archbishop noted that the death of a mother is perceived with great pains, especially when the love and care she showered on her family is remembered and urged them to be consoled that their mother participated actively in Christ's redemptive works through the apostolate of her son, Fr. Vitus Mbamalu.


"You should be grateful to God who gave you such a human asset as a mother. Obviously, she left great legacies which will help you to move on in the journey of faith", the Archbishop opined.


In a vote of thanks, the traditional ruler of Ojoto, Igwe Gerald Obunadike Mbamalu appreciated all who came to commiserate with their family in their time of bereavement and wished them a safe journey back home.


Also speaking, the first son of the deceased, Rev. Fr. Vitus Mbamalu expressed profound appreciation to the Archbishop and his fellow priests in the Archdiocese of Onitsha for standing by him. He also commended his mother's friends and associates, the Life Members, the CWO, and so many others who joined them in the Requiem Mass, praying God to bless each and everyone of them.


Some of the dignitaries included religious and laity members who came in their numbers include the former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, the Principal, the Commissioner for Youths in Anambra State, Hon. Patrick Aghamba, the Principal, staff and students of St. Charles College, Onitsha; family, friends and associates who came from far and near to pay their last respect to a woman who touched many lives in different ways.


Condolence visits by in-laws, friends and well wishers followed immediately after interment at her new residence, Enugo village, Ojoto.


Ezinne Angelina Obiageliaku Ukamaka Mbamalu would be remembered for her compassion,resilience, and unwavering devotion to others.
