Chibuzor Njideofor Foundation (CNF), a nongovernmental and not-for-profit organisation at Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra State recently celebrated New year with over one thousand indigent widows, men, women, youth and the vulnerable.

Participants drawn from various States and religions in Nigeria but mostly resided at Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Ekwusigo, Idemili North, Idemili South, Aguata and beyond, received at least a bag of rice or noodles after winning and dinning with the sponsor, Dr Chibuzor Njideofor, an international reputable businessman and global peace ambassador.

They also participated in different medical checkups officiated by 6 medical experts, including laboratory technicians, optometrist, consultants and nurses, receiving treatments for Typhoid, malaria, diabetes.

Speaking at the occasion held at National Technical College Nnewi, Dr Chibuzor Njideofor, explained that the medical outreach cum empowerment programme started since 8 years ago due to his passion to give or invest in charity works as a Christian.

Njideofor, who believed that giving remains the best means of receiving blessing from God, urged the wealthy to always remember the poor by giving to them accordingly.

" I will rather be in the position where I will be given than in a position of receiving. When you are giving God will bless you more. I give because I am nothing without God. There are those God called to serve them on pulpits. But I am one of those He called to serve Him through charity works," he added.

Also speaking, the elder brother to the benefactor, Mr Solomon Njideofor, while recalling how they grew up in a very poor home following the death of their father, explained that the mother through suffering sowed the seed of giving in them.

"We grew up in poverty, and it made us to understand what the poor pass through in life. In my family today, we are givers. This foundation pay some people hospital bills, sponsors some, and others. It has been the pattern of the family, and we are supporting him to do more," he added.

He further urged the well to do to help others because they would through that, obtain blessings and favour from God as you reap what you sowed
