The founder of Holyghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, Fr. Chibuzo Emmanuel Obimma popularly known as Ebube Muonso has come boldly on Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, insisting that he should address insecurity and stop thinking that he was attacking him for political reason.
Soludo had through a statement accredited to his aide claimed that Ebube Muonso's call for the governor to resign or address insecurity was political.
The Reverend father in a statement described the reply from the governor's aide as a clear misdirection of the real issues plaguing the state.
"It's astonishing that the Anambra state government would rather shift the focus away from the genuine concerns raised by Fr. Muonso. Instead of addressing the pressing matters of insecurity, the government is busy trying to discredit Fr. Muonso's warnings.
"This is a classic case of "shoot the messenger" syndrome. The government's response is not only unbecoming but also alarming, as it suggests that they are more interested in saving face than in tackling the real problems," he added.
According a statement from Mr Benjamin Okafor, an aide to Ebube Muonso, "Fr. Muonso's warnings about the rising insecurity in Anambra are not mere prophecies or politicking, but a call to action. He has consistently spoken out against the ills affecting the state and its people. It's time for the government to take responsibility and address the issues rather than trying to silence the voices of concern."
He further maintained that the people of Anambra deserve better, adding that the populace deserve a government that listens to their concerns, addresses their fears, and works tirelessly to ensure their safety and well-being.
"Fr. Muonso's warnings should be seen as an opportunity for the government to reflect on their policies and actions, rather than an attack to be deflected. It's time for the Soludo-led administration to take a step back, reassess their priorities, and start working towards a safer, more secure Anambra for all. Anything less would be a dereliction of duty," he ended.
