Anambra APC elects Senator Anosike as new State Chairman

The All Progressive Congress (APC), on Tuesday, elected the former Senator that represented Anambra North District, Senator Emmanuel Anosike, as Chairman in Anambra State.
 
Anosike, who represented Anambra North between 2003-2007, was elected through consensus process, at the State congress, held at party's secretariat in Awka.

The incumbent Chairman of Anambra-Imo River-Basin Development Commission was unanimously voted at the Congress attended by about 2,100 delegates drawn from across the state.

The Chairman of the State Congress Committee, Rear Admiral Williams Kayoda (Rtr), who announced the consensus result, mentioned other elected officials of the party as Mr Joseph Okeke, Deputy Chairman; Hon Obi Okpala, State Secretary; and 34 others.

He urged the new executives to work in peace and harmony to take the party to the next level.

On his part, the immediate past Chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike, commended President Bola Tinubu for keeping the party as one, noting that Anambra APC leaders had demonstrated that the party remained supreme.

Also speaking, a stakeholder of the party, Senator Uche Ekwunife, commended the national officials of the party and representative of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for conducting a peaceful congress, assuring her support for the APC to continue to fly higher.

Earlier, the new State Chairman, Senator Emmanuel Anosike, appreciated the party leaders and supporters for the privilege given to them and others to serve for good four years.
