The Chief Executive Officer of Stanel Group, Dr Stanley Uzochukwu says he is not after titles but responsibility to take the Business School of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka to greater heights.
He stated this when he delivered his Inaugural Address as Chairman, UNIZIK Advancement Management Board held at the school's main campus in Awka.
Dr Uzochukwu said he will bring strategic thinking, bold partnerships, and a relentless drive for excellence in the university's Business School.
"As I take on this role, I do not come with titles, I come with responsibility. Because we must think bigger. We must build a university that does not just produce graduates... But produces global changemakers. A university that does not just follow trends... But sets them. A university that does not just grow...but transforms lives, industries, and nations.
"And as a co-host in this mission of advancement, I see my role clearly, To connect vision with execution. To bridge academia with industry. To turn ideas into impact. But let me be clear, this is not a one-man journey.
"This is a collective assignment. And if we truly rise to it if we bring our resources, our influence, our ideas, and our commitment together. Then years from now, history will not just remember that we served... It will remember that we changed everything.
"So today, let this inauguration not end as a ceremony. Let it begin as a movement. A movement of bold thinkers, a movement of committed builders, a movement of people who refused to let greatness remain potential... and instead made it reality. Together, we will not just advance this university, we will elevate it to a standard the world cannot ignore," Stanel CEO concluded.
Speaking on the composition of the Board, the UNIZIK Vice Chancellor, Prof Stanley Bond Anyaehie said the board comprises strategic partners, friends, alumni and staff of the university vested with the task of its advancement.
"The board should see to the university advancement to help us attract funds, develop projects and bring friends and well wishers to be partners with us.
"They are usually for the advancement of the university in all spheres. Because of infrastructure and scholarship, some of them can endow funds or make donations like this building here and other surrounding ones. Some patrons did that too.
"As whether this board will succeed, he said "Am a child of God, believe in God. He has never failed me. This starting shows that God's hand is in it. We may not achieve all our expectations but failure is full far away from our vision," he said.
While welcoming Stanel CEO into the school alumni, the Global President of UNIZIK Alumni, Prof Ikechukwu Umeh, announced that Dr Uzochukwu has been friendly with staff of UNIZIK, assuring him that the alumni is ready to progressively partner with Stanel Group.
"The advancement board for the advancement of the university is all about the Alumni by way of expanding our network and assisting partners for the good of the university. The alumni has a statutory seat in this Board, which am occupying now.
"From this ceremony, progress is coming to this university. Therefore, I call on our members to extend right hand of fellowship to the university whenever it reaches out to them to ensure continued growth of the institution in the area of capacity building and infrastructural development," Prof Umeh, a tech guru affirmed.
On his part, the CEO of Flutterwave, Mr Olugbenga Agboola promised that his newly-licensed bank (Flutterwave) will build a project in the university to achieve it's lofty ideals in every aspect of human endeavour.
"Talent is evenly distributed, opportunity is not. Workforce of the world comes from Nigeria and Africa.
"Flutterwave is going to be a movement in Anambra state. We will build a project in this university. We will see what to do for the university. I can see future CEO, managers, here in UNIZIK," Agboola affirmed.###
