Anambra legislature hails Tinubu’s elevation of Ojukwu to full minister

 Dr Somtochukwu Udeze, Speaker,Anambra State House of Assembly, has congratulated the wife of former Governor of the defunct Eastern Region, Late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Amb.Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu on her elevation as new Minister of Foreign Affairs.


 


The reports on Thursday in Awka as was contained in his goodwill message to Odumegwu Ojukwu in a statement by Mr Emma Madu,his Chief Press Secretary.


 


Udeze while felicitating Ojukwu’s appointment described it as a proof of Tinubu’s fair appointment system across the Geo- Political zones of the country .


 


He  commended Mr President, Bola Tinubu, for his bold and fair action,⁷ describing the appointment as deserving and expected.


 

 reports that though the appointnent is still  subject to the senate confirmation but the legislature was optimistic.


 


Udeze expressed confidence that in view of the training,skills, experience in political and public affairs, that Odumegwu Ojukwu will function optimally as Minister of Foreign Affairs with every sense of commitment and zeal.


 


The Speaker recollected that Odumegwu Ojukwu’s eventful tenure as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain as well as the good image her impressive service attracted to Nigeria is worth celebrating.


 


He commended the President for putting a round peg in a round hole by our appointing

her to head Nigeria’s foreign policy architecture and global partnership as Minister of Foreign Affairs.


Udeze noted that Odumegwu Ojukwu who previously served as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs before her elevation has continued to render quality representation in all capcity.


 


He noted that she done  Anambra State and APGA government under the able leadership of Gov.Chukwuma Soludo proud through her willingness to render quality service to the country.


 


He enjoined well meaning citizens to give the new Minister of Foreign Affairs, Odumegwu Ojukwu the necessary support to enable her excel in her new portfolio as Minister of Foreign Affairs
