Soludo hugs Obi at church service in Awka ten days after media war

The Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, Thursday, hugged the Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi at a Church service in Awka, the State capital.


Soludo, who had on November 14, wrote about thirty pages report where he claimed among other things, that Obi knew he would not win the election, as well as slammed some of his supporters as Internet mobs.


The governor, according to a statement and photos from his Press Secretary, Mr Christian Aburime, hugged his predecessor at St. Patrick’s Cathedral Awka during the Thanksgiving mass organised in the honour of the Bishop of the Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus C. Ezeokafor, who was celebrating a 70th birthday.


 Aburime said, "Before the mass started, Soludo stepped out from his pew and walked over to where the former governor was seated to greet him, welcoming him to the Capital city.


"Even amid so many political disagreements, they both understand they are Ndi-Anambra. Yes! We are Ndi-Anambra.

We lead, and others follow."
