The member representing Awka South 1 State Constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Nigeria Henry Mbachu, Monday, congratulated the 2023 Presidential Candidate of Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi on his emergence as political icon award, describing it as well deserved and meritorious.
Mbachu, in a congratulatory message, argued that Obi visibly represents the yearnings and aspirations of every Nigerian and can navigate the country from its present condition to a prosperous path.
According to him, Obi changed the political trajectory of Nigeria since the return of democracy 25 years ago.
He also implored Mr. Obi to remain unwavering in his push to see that Nigeria breaks free from bad governance and creates the envisioned New Nigeria. He prayed God to grant him grace and unlimited strength.
The Sun Awards is a prestigious media honour that celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to various fields of endeavour in Nigeria. Mr. Obi, the leader and 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, was bestowed with the award at a ceremony in Lagos on Saturday, February 17, 2024.
