Anglican Cleric, Venerable Slias Ike, in-charge of St Stephen's Church, Agulu,Diocese of Awka, Anglican Communion, has called on Nigerians to endure hardship and be proactive.
Ike said that in times of adversity that it is only trust in God and positive actions alone that will redeem the ugly situations.
The cleric said during a sermon to inter Mrs Bridget Oji in Agulu, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra on Thursday.
Ike said that it is apt for the citizens to embrace every positive act and shun quest for materialism through dubious ways.
He advised the youth to embrace Jesus Christ as a way to greatness and shun idolatry and acts capable to derail growth and development of the nation.
Mr Uche Oji, the widower described the death as peaceful and pray for lasting peace after a protracted illness.
Mr Arnize Oji the son described the death of his mother as unbearable and reassured that strong character, accommodating and prayer attributes of his mother will be sustained.
Mr Emmanuel Eziagwu, in his tribute on behalf of Eziagwu family described the feeling of the Isaiah family of Umuehihe Amuda Isuochi Abia State on demise of their sister as painful.
Eziagwu said it is painful and sad to write the tribute of his younger sister who is so respectful and endeared herself to all who came across her.
"Her entire life was all about service to mankind and God.
" she lived a very lovely and accommodating life for the good of men very calm and open- minded," Eziagwu said.
Mrs Kachi Ejim, the only sister of the deceased said that it pleased God to call her home after years of pain.
"She is asleep She was a mother sister and confidant to me.
" she taught me to forgive and was my back bone, I will grace her demise by holding onto your legacies," Ejim said.
Newsmen reports that the burial rites attracted over 10 clergymen from across the state, in-laws from Abia, various women unions.
