Soludo rehabilitates internal roads to enhance healthy living at Ojukwu Varsity teaching hospital

 Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has kicked off rehabilitation of 1.7 kilometres of internal roads networks connecting various sections of the State owned Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH) Amaku, Awka.



The project which is one of the governor's numerous infrastructural development aimed at improving the living standards of Anambra populace would be completed in few days and includes total reconstruction, constructing and asphalting of new roads.



The Director, Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA), Mr Ossy Onuko, whose agency was executing the project, explained that the infrastructural projects whose cost price was not mentioned, would enhance the hospital accessibility and appearance, improve the healthcare delivery while maintaining quality assurance for ease vehicular movements to all.

He further maintained that the governor directed his office to supervise the project due to their commitment to deliver quality infrastructure development across the State capital territory, including the COOUTH where he recently established a trauma center, among other projects.



Onuko praised the governor for revolutionising all the State sectors with various developmental projects, and urged eligible voters to consider returning him as governor in the forthcoming election so that he could do more works. 

Also speaking, the Chief Medical Director of COOUTH, Dr. Joe Akabuike, commended the governor for the internal roads construction, which according to him, further confirmed that he prioritise healthcare infrastructural development.

"Governor Soludo's vision is to transform the teaching hospital into a hub for medical tourism, with state-of-the-art facilities and skilled human resources as these will reduce the need for Nigerians to seek medical care abroad", he said.
