Stop security in your convoy from wearing facemasks, Spiritualist urges Soludo

A spiritualist and promoter of African culture and tradition, Chief Dr Ramas Okoye-Asuzu has called on Anambra State governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo to stop security in his convoy from wearing facemasks.


Okoye-Asuzu, who stated this in a press conference at his country-home, Nri, Anaocha Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra State, argued that it would assist in reducing cases where security apparatus wearing facemasks could easily be identified if they involve in illegalities.


According to the philanthropist, not wearing facemasks would equally enable them to be transparent in their dealings, as well as promote peace and safety of lives and properties.


The Traditional healer while praising governor Chukwuma Soludo for the various infrastructural development projects ongoing under his tenure and recently launched operation udo gá achị (peace shall prevail).


He, however, urged the governor to create enabling environment for the security network to succeed, as well as checkmate their excesses to prevent them from engaging in legalities or prosecuting innocent citizens.


Okoye-Asuzu also called on governor Soludo to setup a traditional medicine board with a view to checkmate rising insecurity and killings in Anambra State, arguing that spate of insecurity were as a result of fake traditional medicine doctors, ritualists and others masquerading as traditional healers.


According to him, this could not only be checkmated but totally eradicated once those genuinely practising the profession were inaugurated as board and empowered constitutionally to engage with the society while screening, registering and monitoring practitioners'.


The traditional healer added that empowering genuine traditional medicine practitioners to thrive would help to promote health and general well-being, as well as assist in identifying those hiding under traditional religion while actually engaging in ritual killings, kidnapping, robbers and others.
