Dr. Chioma Awuzie, the newly appointed Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko, delivered a motivational speech that sparked inspiration among the institution's community. The event, which marked a significant milestone in the institution's history, was attended by dignitaries, students, and staff members.


During her speech, Dr. Chioma Awuzie emphasized the importance of innovation, hard work, and dedication. She highlighted the institution's achievements and outlined its vision for the future, encouraging students, staff, and faculty members to strive for excellence and contribute to the institution's growth and development.



The Rector also outlined her 12-point agenda, which includes security, infrastructure, staff and student welfare, among others. "Our goal is to provide high-quality education and training that prepares our students for the challenges of the 21st century," she said. "We will continue to invest in our infrastructure, faculty, and staff to ensure that we remain a leading institution in Nigeria."


The special adviser to the Governor on youths empowerment programme, Dr. Nelson Omenugha, congratulated Dr. Chioma  Awuzie on her appointment and commended her speech. He expressed his expectations for a progressive polytechnic and suggested that the institution should be part of the ongoing One Youth, Two Skills programme, which aims to equip Anambra youths with skills.


Barr. Fidelis Oduah, chairman of the Academic Staff of the polytechnic, expressed his joy over Dr. Chioma Awuzie's appointment, describing her as a philanthropist. He noted that the institution had generated internal internally revenue and was confident that Dr. Chioma Awuzie would take care of staff welfare and deliver on her promises.


However, Chibuzor Asomugha, Director of Student Affairs, expressed his concerns about the funding of Dr. Awuzie's promises, citing it as a major hurdle for institutions in Nigeria.


Overall, Dr. Chioma Awuzie's speech was well-received by the audience, who praised her leadership and vision. Her inaugural address will be remembered as a call to action for the institution's community.
