The National Coordinator, APGA Media Warriors Forum, Evang Chinedu Obigwe, on Wednesday, lambasted Senator Uche Ekwunife, the running mate to the governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), Prince Nickolas Ukachukwu, describing her as someone desperately seeking for power.
Obigwe stated this in a statement entitled 'Re - Soludo 's desperation and the unprovoked attack on Ekwunife: A Threat to democracy in Anambra State', a report aimed at dismissing statement issued by Tony Ezike, media aide to Ekwunife who had tried to counter a trending video where the former Senator was spotted dancing to a controversial music.
"As far as the main issue that I brought to public domain that he is trying to cover up is concerned, he ended up beating around the bush. As a mother and a public figure, Ekwunife honestly goofed by dancing that kind of song in a public function.
" How will her children feel listening to the lyrics of the song she was dancing and enjoying. They will definitely feel ashamed of their mother. Tony Ezike claim that my piece condemning the skelewu dancing Sen. Ekwunife for dancing such immoral song at a public function made people to do a comparison of Ekwunife and our beloved mama Anambra in the person of Nonye Soludo is a cock and bull story because the personality of Nonye Soludo towers above that of Ekwunife.
" It's only a fool at forty that will remain a fool forever that will compare the both of them. Nonye Soludo is a refined character, a worthy of emulation mother and a silent achiever. Ekwunife is driven by desperation and can do anything to get what she wants but Nonye Soludo cannot be associated with such. So Tony Ezike should spare us the senseless story of people comparing her with our beloved Nonye Soludo that is known as a stainless woman globally.
Let's try and be calling a spare a spare and stop wasting time and effort in sugarcoating what is wrong to be right. My stand remains that Ekwunife does not have the moral justification to mobilise Anambra women to tell them to vote for the dead on conception Ukachukwu/Ekwunife governorship ticket.
"The good people of Anambra know very well that voting for them is tantamount to committing a suicidal mistake and they will avoid it. Governor Soludo administration has done marvellously well for Anambra people and voting for Soludo/ibezim ticket on November 8th is the only way Anambra electorates will say thank you to them for the transformation of our State to the envy of other States in Nigeria," he stated.
