The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO), Solution FunCity Limited, Mr Mohamed Farrag, on Wednesday, unveiled plans by the Anambra State government owned entertainment hub to boost her economy by attracting foreign and local investors.

Farrag, who stated this at press conference officiated by the parent body, Anambra State Ministry of Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, and State Ministry of Information, explained that as a private sector driven investment, it would thrive by having different shows, promotional activities and events on daily basis.
According to him, 85 persons have already been recruited as pioneer staff with different welfare packages to encourage hardworking and professionalism, even as they would be running their services at weekends and holidays, usually from 10am to 10pm.
He also assured that the FunCity have made provisions for 24 hours power supply due to various electrical equipments available in the edifice, even as they would provide premium services to international standard and affordable rates to all.
Earlier speaking, the State Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment, and Tourism, Comrade Don Onyenji, revealed that the Solution FunCity which was commissioned by President Bola Tinubu last month, would be private sector driven .
Onyenji, who noted that the event centre would become centre of attraction after it's official opening for public use from Friday June 28, 2025, explained that Nigerian Hip-hop artistes, Mr Chinedu Okoli (Flavour) and other notable entertainers such as Umuobiligbo, Ojadili, Onye Obodo would grace the occasion.
According to Onyenji, the event would open up opportunities for entertainment and creative industry to thrive in the State because Solution FunCity would be private sector driven and free from government interference.
"It has places for relaxation, including games, children, cinema, waterpark with six different swimming pools, among other things. It will provide entertainment, leisure and tourism. You may recall that the place was commissioned by President Bola Tinubu. We are inviting the world as we open it officially for the public use from June 28. The event will be attended by Mr Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo," he noted.
