The National Coordinator, APGA Media Warriors Forum, Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, has exonerated the Anambra State governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo from the online backlash over his reactions to suspected IPOB members during his Town Hall Meeting recently held in London.
Some viral posts, including a video by one Chido A. A, the convener of Hungry and Angry people in London, claimed that the governor came to the event with stern looking security men and women, bullied oppositions, ignored some questions, told a speaker to shut up as well as ordered destruction of anti-government placards.
But Obigwe while responding to the rumour in a press statement, commended organisers of the London Town Hall meeting, while describing the governor as a jolly good fellow and intolerant of foolishness.
"To the best of my knowledge Governor Soludo is a jolly good fellow that is down to earth but the only red line you must not cross is exhibition of foolishness in his front. He is a serious minded fellow that does not have time to waste on foolish idiots. The security arrangement for that event is topnotch and I doff my cap for the Organisers.
"I was very happy to see His Honour Ernest Ezeajughi in his true form in that video. Watching that video made people see the no nonsense side of him and I am very happy for that. Chido A. A that is convener of Hungry and Angry people in London and his cohorts were meted with the treatment they deserve at that event," he added.
He wondered why Chido attempted to downplay Governor Soludo's administration road construction in Anambra, advising him " to come and do that in Anambra and see if he will not be stoned by beneficiaries of those road projects" because "Governor Soludo did not just prioritise road construction because he wants to do that."
He took that decision as a result of the passionate appeal made to him by Anambra people during the 2021 electioneering campaign.
It was Anambra peoples passionate appeal on Governor Soludo to do something about the deplorable condition of Anambra roads that made him to declare State of emergency on Anambra roads.
According to him, "One thing about Governor Soludo is that you cannot exhibit madness in his front. Many people have laboured in vain to tag him as an arrogant man and failed because he is not. Being intolerant of foolishness does not mean that the person is arrogant.
"The best thing that has happened to Anambra people since the inception of our State creation is Governor Soludo and the people of our State will continue supporting him to complete the good work his administration is doing in our State."
