*2021: Ezeemo, The Chopper To Land PDP To Agu Awka*
The name of Mr. Godwin Chukwunenye Ezeemo as the best choice for PDP for 2021 governorship election in Anambra State loomed larger than others when the exit of Governor of Ebonyi State Dave Umahi from PDP to APC formed a topic of conversation at a drink joint located in a rural riverine village of Innoma in Anambra West LGA of Anambra State.
Some people at the joint who are politically aware were of the impression that the exit of Umahi from PDP is a moral booster for the APC in the Southeast ahead of the 2023 general election and most particularly to the 2021 governorship election in Anambra State.
An elderly man who gave his name as Nwudo and who is conversant with the politics of Anambra State with sympathy to PDP pointed out that PDP has to put extra effort to defeat as according to him the election in Anambra is between APC and PDP because APGA has lost irelevance in the State.
While contending that PDP is the best option for Anambra in 2021 Nwudo however expressed fear that unless PDP nominates a popular candidate. At this juncture, the name of Ezeemo stole the show as the names of virtually all other aspirants in PDP were not known to the people there.
Another discussant who gave his name as Omata argued that apart from Ezeemo who has visited Innoma and all parts of Anambra West during his days in PPA non of the PDP aspirants has visited Innoma and other places in Anambra West.
Hear him "I am not in politics fully like that but I have heard much about Ezeemo because there are people who know him very well and are working for him in this village and if what they are saying about him is true then I think he will make a good governor"
The truth is that the exploit of Ezeemo in PPA in going round the nooks and crannies of Anambra State for two consecutive governorship elections is an advantage for PDP to leverage on reclaim the government house in Awka in 2021 and in so doing the Achinagbaraoha might be the chopper to land PDP in Agu Awka.
