Anambra 2021: Godwin Ezeemo, the toast of the time

*(Part 2)*

"Incompetence is worse than corruption" So said former Minister of Power Professor Chinedu Nebo while speaking on factors militating against good leadership in Nigeria. In view of Professor Nebo's assertion, incompetence gives room for mismanagement of the goods and services of leadership. Take for instance, if one is not competent enough to manage a million naira, the said one million naira could be wasted on non profitable things. This is quite different from corruption and it is indeed worse than corruption.

Ahead of the 2021 governroship election in Anambra State, indications are ripped that Ndi Anambra are using their tounge to count their teeth with a view to identify and enthrone a competent leader who will take over the helm of affairs of the State at the government house in Agu Awka. What the good people of the Light of the Nation State clearly need is a competent leader who have what it takes in terms of exposure, experience and capacity to give them the best of service in managing the human and economic resources of the State for their benefits.

Suffice it to say that political watchers and relevant stakeholders in the State have identified Mr Godwin Chukwunaenye Ezeemo as the one competent enough to do the job at Agu Awka. According to the findings of Ezeemo Media Team, their reason for identifying with Ezeemo who is the Chairman/CEO of Orient Group of Companies as the right person to succeed the incumbent Governor Willie Obiano is rooted on what they know about him. To these political watchers and stakeholders Ndi Anambra will be well pleased with Ezeemo simply because he will live up to their expectations with service of good governance.

The truth as gathered by the workaholic Media Team ahead of 2021 governorship election in Anambra State. Following the findings of the Team, Ndi Anambra need a core businessman like former Governor Peter Obi who can boast of practical experience in managing human and economic resources of the State for the benefits of the people in deriving infrastructural development, job opportunities, tight security and rural development with laudable projects in road, education, health, agriculture, electricity and water among others including prompt payment of salary, pension and gratuity.

A relevant stakeholder who spoke to the Media Team on the condition of anonimity because he is a traditional ruler who is out of bound to speak on political matters had this to say about Ezeemo "Ndi Anambra need a core business man like Peter Obi who can manage the resources of the State based on his vast experience as an international businessman and I think Ezeemo is in the shoes of the core businessman we need as Govenor. We don't need a Governor without experience in management of resources"

"Government house is not where to learn" he continued rhetorically adding, "government house is where you unleash what you have learnt already for many years for the betterment of the people. Peter Obi was in government house to unleash what he learnt already as a businessman with vast experience and that was why he was able to manage the resources of the State creditably well. Peter saved money when other governors were borrowing heavily because he was able to competently manage money and for the first time in history of Nigeria an outgoing governor left N75billion behind for his successor"

He added "Peter was able to do all he did because he came in with a vast experience of a core businessman, so for me Ezeemo as a core businessman is the right person for the job of leading Anambra State after Obiano because he is unarguably well experienced enough to manage the resources of the State for the betterment of the people. We should not make that mistake of chosen a leader outside the business community because records show that you cannot safely get a good governor outside the business community, mark my words"
