NOA trains staff on improved service delivery, professionalism, sanctity of truth

 

The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Anambra State office, weekend, held one day Intensive In-House Capacity  Enhancement programme to help their staff improve on professionalism and promotion of Nigerian ideals way of life.


The training held at their state headquarters in Awka, featured several lectures, inspirations and edification by the management and renowned experts.


Speaking at the occasion, the State Director of the agency, Barristers Charles Nwoji admonished  Staff and Management of the Agency to allow their  activities to reflect on the growth and development of the Agency,especially now the 2023 general elections are around the corner.


 Barrister Nwoji, who  explained  the theme of the   Programme as",Promoting Healthy Internal Dynamics In Strategic Public Institution", told the participants to be at the vanguard of telling  the public the  undiluted truth  in the course of discharging their duties at all times.

   

He advocated for collective actions by all Staff of the Agency in transforming the  Organization to an enviable heights, reminding the participants to streamline their activities and schedules as well as  adhere to the hierarchy of the Agency,extant rules , regulations and provisions establishing the agency  as they project into the future  for  beneficial growth and development of NOA.


   In  a lecture titled,"Effective Programme Development and Evaluation in National Orientation Agency ", the Deputy Director in charge of Programmes,Sir Joseph Uchendu, urged the participants to work towards imbibing the growth of discipline, integrity,dignity of labour, religious tolerance ,social justice and self reliant  in the course of performing their functions  in the society.


    He advised the staff  to strive towards embracing e- programming   and ICT with a view to  speeding  up their performances ,especially in the area of galvanizing the people to accepting the developmental programs of government.


   In another lecture on  "Effective Report Writing  and Strategic  Communication," the Deputy Director Planing Research and Strategy ," Comrade Felix Agbo,maintained that report writing is a very serous mental work,and  that the essence of the lecture was to enhance the proficiency of the participants in report writing and effective Communication methodology, asking them to be very careful in their choice of words while writing a report.


   In the course of the Programme, lectures were  also delivered on Salient Administrative Processes and Extant Public Service Rules,Understanding the Essence and Workings of the Special Duties Unit and its Implications on Productivity,Basic  Financial  and Auditing  one and two by the Deputy D irector Administration, Mr.Ijeoma Nzewi, Deputy Director  Special Duties,Barrister Ifeoma Chijioke,Acting Head of Finance and Accounts Department, Mr.Uzoh Obeleagu and the Acting Head Audit Unit ,Mrs Amalachukwu Anyansi respectively.
