Anambra State Police Commissioner, Nnaghe Obono Itam, on Friday, celebrated the gallant officers of the command and their wives with pomp and pageantry.
The event heralded with awards and gifts presentations, also featured marriage counselling, talks couple games and dance.
Speaking at the occasion, CP Itam commended the officers for their innovation, teamwork and sacrifice they make everyday in securing the Anambra populace, noting that the efforts would not go in vain.
According to the CP, the event which was aimed at fostering connection, camaraderie, and relaxation among police officers, also provided him with opportunities to celebrate their good works and patriotism in tackling insecurity within the year.
He further urged them to show more commitment, dedication and patriotism in the years ahead, while stressing the need for love and care among the couples to be renewed for excellence performance and professionalism.
The police boss specifically appreciated the Police Officers wives for supporting their husbands and urged them to sustain the tempo as it would according to him, spur them for more action for peace and safety of the nation.
Earlier, the State Chairperson, Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) and wife of the CP, Pastor Mrs Nnaghe Itam Joan Favour, described the event as superb, noting that the theme encourages them to keep the spark burning, while renewing their marriage and couples relation in a grandstyle.
